War paint for 2012 -body

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume and body set
FCUK body wash
Elle McPherson sparkle scrub
Shu Uemura cleanser
Soap and Glory flake away
Bathina body bath powder
Chanel No 19

This gorgeous gift set that i got for Christmas is going to be my main evening scent for this season. Of course, Chanel is a classic and will be timelessly elegant. My day scent is a Jo Malone favourite, honeysuckle and jasmine, however this has been discontinued and so it's a long and weary search whenever I run out. I love bath products they make me feel sparkly and clean, which is important!

War paint for 2012 -make up

Bobbi Brown eye palette
Guerlain eye palette
Topshop lipstick in Brighton Rock
Vintage Rimmel in Coral
Swarovski Revlon Limited edition lipstick
Rimmel eye colour in Bronze
No17 Clear definition mascara
Chanel les yeux eyeliner in brown
Guerlain liquid eyeliner in brown

I swear. I don't wear foundation and I hope I never will- my only exception is a night out. My day to day makeup is just mascara, if anything, as I think that wearing make up day in day out is slightly pretentious, but this only applies to me. I live for lipsticks and frequently wear a bright colour on my lips and mascara. No17 Clear Definition is the best thing for eyebrows since I don't know when. I only wear bown eyeliner or mascara as the colours compliment me more than black. My one make up resolution for this year is to channel  the icons of the 60s. As pastel colours are all the range this season, expect to see me in lilac eye shadow and lipstick, with a bold eyeline.

War paint for 2012 -skin

Make Believe night time tanner
La Perla J'aime La Nuit
Creme De La Mer
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
Ren Rose Oil

I swear to God, without this basic skincare I would be nowhere. I always apply La Perla before bed, and Make Believe if I'm feeling a hint of tan- it also smells fab! Creme De La Mer is the only moisturiser I have ever become so attatched to, however, as a result of the insanely high price, I never use too much. Before applying La Mer, I always use Ren rose oil. It's just fantastic and leaves you literally glowing and smelling delicious. Last but definately not least, Lizzie A. If I was stranded on an island, this would be my number 1 thing. I can't get enough of it. I use it for everything, even as an eye shadow base or as an eyebrow highlighter. These are my skin buys for 2012. Enjoy!

Style Icons.

As part of my new years resolution, I plan to become my own version of Marilyn. Classy and sassy. Original outfits with a classic feel. High heels, high hopes. And denim shirts, always. Pillarbox lips are a must have. A mutual friend Megan has possibly the best style I have ever seen, and is my inpiration for a massive amount of outfits I plan and choose. She combines everything I look for, clothes that suit her body, originality and she has this hint of sexiness that must just make boys fall to her feet. She has inspired me to continue my long long looong search for the perfect plunge dress, and shorts. She quite possibly, in my eyes, is the queen of statement outfits, and whenever I'm stuck for what to wear, she is my inspiration.

it was christmas.

So, it was Christmas, and after doing myself proud on Christmas Eve, classy but party enough to get me in the spirit, in a black pencil skirt (asos) and a satin effect red blouse, completed with the black shoes you see to the left ('borrowed' from a friend) and a pair of vintage statement earrings. So after doing this the night before, Christmas day came and I was stuck. With my new clothes, I planned ahead and chose to wear them boxing day instead. I chose a simple black, cut away dress, black tights, previous shoes and a grey knit cardigan. I was given a jewelled vintage cross necklace as part as a present, fate of course, and it glued the outfit together perfectly. Boxing day, I chose a shell coloured blouse, black leggings, the same grey cardigan and ankle boots, plain pearl earrings and my signature 'E' necklace. Unfortunately, for the rest of the holidays and new years, I was either lazy, or ill. I hope to keep you posted with more soon, so keep checking!
